What constitutes site maintenance?
- General updating of information
on your website to meet your needs as they change and
to reflect your business accurately.
- Optimising your site's keywords,
descriptions, keyword density and header tags in accordance
with those changes.
- Re-submitting the freshly updated
site to the relevant search engines.
How often should you update?
Maintenance requirements depend
upon the type of website:
Is your website designed as a perennial site? i.e., to provide
set information over a long period or
is it designed to actively market continuously changing
products or services?
Maintenance periods can be scheduled as
daily, weekly, monthly etc., or could be performed only
when changes are required. Only time and usage will tell
how you should set your maintenance.
We usually review site activity over a
three month period before suggesting or trying a specific
plan. Maintenance plans need to be kept under continuous
review and updated if necessary.
